Healing

How To Keep Your Healing

If you are a Christian you will know that God is concerned for your spiritual life. You will know that Jesus has provided eternal life through His death and resurrection. It is also important to realize that God is interested in our physical bodies. As our loving Father He wants them to be healthy and free from sickness. The Bible has many promises for our healing

'Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be IN HEALTH even as your soul prospers' (3 John 2)

'Bless the Lord, 0 my soul, and forget not all His benefits, Who forgives all your iniquities, who HEALS  ALL YOUR DISEASES' (Psalm 103:2,3)

Healing is part of the salvation Jesus obtained on the Cross:-

'That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our INFIRMITIES and bore our SICKNESSES' (Matt. 8:17)

'Surely he has borne our griefs (DISEASES) and carried our sorrows (PAINS).' (Isaiah 53:4)

'Who in his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes YE WERE HEALED.' (I Peter2:24)

We can be sure of God's will to heal us by looking at Jesus'approach to sickness. If you want to see what God is like - look at Jesus.    Jesus said: 'He who has seen me has seen the Father' (John 14:9).

Jesus in His ministry is the will of God in action.  When we read the Gospels we see Jesus going about healing all who were oppressed with sickness.(Acts 10:38)  He clearly saw sickness as an enemy and brought God's healing power to all who would receive it.  HEALING IS GOD'S WILL TODAY! God has not changed! 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!' (Heb 13:8).   He wants you to be well so that you can be free to serve Him.

Healing is a gift from God which is received by faith (trusting God's promises). When you have received your healing stand firm in your faith.  Let your heart and mind dwell on God's promises.  Be part of a church that provides an atmosphere of faith and love.   Don't let satan steal your healing. When doubt comes, say: 'Doubt I resist you, in the Name of Jesus. I refuse to fear.'   If symptoms and sickness come say: 'Sickness, I refuse you. I resist you in Jesus' Name.   You must go.'   Resist sickness like you would resist sin. Express your faith in a positive way.   Speak faith-filled words:

'Jesus, you are my Healer. Let your healing power fill me now. Lord I receive your healing power. Let it drive out all sickness. Thank you for healing me, and renewing my strength.'

Remember 'All things are possible to them who believe', because we believe in the God of the impossible.

If you are taking medication, mix your faith with it.  It is good to fight sickness with natural and spiritual means.    When you take medicine also give thanks to God for His healing power working in you.

Confession:  'In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I exercise authority over this body of mine. Sickness and disease, I refuse to allow you to stay. This body, this house, belongs to God. It is a temple of God. Satan, you have no right to trespass on God's property. Now you get out. You leave my body. I've got authority over you. I know it. You know it. And God knows it.'
